The Medicinal VALUE of Cut flowers

For centuries man has been using fauna to medicate illnesses.

The powerful properties in mother natures fauna seem to work a treat.

The good news is more and more people are now appreciating the organic goodness fauna has to offer compared to the man made medications.

I have put together a handful of cut flowers that i have been using for years to help me maintain my health and youthfulness.

I hope these cut flowers work for you the way they have worked for me.

Ms Rose

Dried Ms Rose petals taken internally as a tea can be used for headaches, colds, bronchial infections, gastritis, diarrhoea, depression and lethargy.

Rose water was successfully used to cure all kinds of conditions, such as constipation, drunkenness, trembling, skin & throat infections and the dreaded insomnia.

Ms Lilac

Ms Lilac has been used in folk medicine since the Middle Ages, it was used to treat symptoms that are linked to diabetes— symptoms of increased thirst and hunger, frequent urination, weight loss or gain, fatigue, blurred vision, prolonged healing & nausea.

Ms Lilac in aromatherapy can help fight depression and increase relaxation.

Ms Gardenia

When gardenias are consumed in the form of tea, it helps to relieve congestion and also detoxifies the blood.  It is also used to reduce cholesterol.  Used externally as oils or creams, it can help with inflammation and sprains.  

Chinese herbal medicines commonly use Gardenia oil to treat infections, especially bladder infections, jaundice, blood in the urine, abscesses and stool.

Ms Calendula

Ms Calendula oil is rich in minerals & mentioned earlier anti-oxidants once applied to the hair, it will promote growth of stronger hair follicles.

The ointment of this magical herb Ms Calendula can aid in the management burns, acne scars & blemishes.

As an anti-inflammatory helps heal skin inflammation such dermatitis, ear infections, improve eye sight, improve moods, and ease digestive issues, sore throats and cramps.
